Dorothy's Piano Bar and Cabaret is a place where we bring together both new and seasoned performers and the people who want to hear them. We offer a multi-faceted venue where anyone can sing with a pianist open mic style, sit back, relax and enjoy the singers on the stage, or enjoy a featured performer in our lounge. And here, whether it's some of Seattle's best or performers from around the country, or a first timer, ANYONE can shine!
Our main room is equipped with a digital piano, fully capable of transposing your music into any key, several microphones, professional lighting, a beautiful mural depicting many of the famous Dorothy's we honor and a full bar. Seating is available at the bar and at tables throughout the room. It's the perfect place to practice your next audition song, share an original composition, serenade us with your favorite tune, blow off steam with your friends, celebrate an event or just sing for the fun of it.
Our Ruby Slipper Lounge also is home to a grand piano and stage with a great sound and lighting system. Patrons are seated at cabaret tables where they can enjoy delicious food and drink while they watch our cabaret stars. Dorothy's also gives opportunity for new and aspiring performers, composers and playwrights to create new works and re-imagine classics. We shine a spotlight on them and invite the audience along for the journey as we bring exciting theatre to our black box stage. This flexible theatre space allows us to place the audience right in the middle of all of the action, seated at tables or in a traditional theatre configuration.
At Dorothy's we seek to not only entertain you but provide you with a fun and engaging experience where you get to be a part of the fun and the music in any way you choose. You can get up and sing a solo, join our many sing-a-longs or potentially perform on our cabaret stage. If you don't have the performance bug, you can sit back and enjoy. We have an elegant yet comfortable space with delicious drinks like the Dorothy Collins to help you relax or maybe gain the courage you need to take the mic, as well as small plates and appetizers inspired by famous Dorothy's and including such items as Toto's Tots, Wicked Wings of the West, Shrimp Po' Boy ala Dandridge, Blanche's Nipples, Golden Girls Cheesecake and more that will thrill your taste buds and keep you coming back again and again. .
